A curved settee is the easiest way to soften a lounge: placed against a column, in a window bay or facing a pair of club chairs, it closes a conversation group without a wall.
The back and arms form one continuous enclosing curve, slightly lower at the arm ends so guests can turn toward each other. Cognac leather piping traces the top edge and the seat front, which ties the piece to leather club chairs and booths elsewhere in the room. A recessed light-oak plinth carries the body.
Shown in oatmeal bouclé. For high-turnover bars we would build the same shape in protected leather or a cleanable contract velvet and keep the cognac piping as the accent.
